Thursday, December 11, 2008. Are you there readers? It's Me, Mauri. So, In case you haven't noticed, I've been on a bit of a blog hiatus. Well, maybe that's an understatement. I haven't been a good blog writer or even reader the past few months. So, I'm going to try and be better, if any of you still even read. So, what have we been up to since August? Here's a quick recap:. I helped organized Jam Fest for ACU's homecoming, and in the process got a lot of glow in the dark things. We had a great Thanksgiv...

Tuesday, November 27, 2007. In the Meadow we can build a Snowman. We had a great time with Chris's family for Thanksgiving! Lots of food and some needed R&R. But we were kinda sad we missed 4 inches of snow in Abilene on Thanksgiving day. We came home Saturday with high expectations for a Winter Wonderland when we woke up Sunday morning thanks to another expected round, only to have murky rain instead! But then Sunday afternoon, Christmas came Early! The flakes were HUGE! He was too funny! A visit to our...

My awe as God works in my life and in the lives of those I love. Monday, August 27, 2007. The moment we returned to our apartment after being out of town for a week there was an awful smell in the kitchen. Marcus became obsessed with finding where the smell came from. The first time he pulled the stove away from the wall we didn't find anything. So he started pulling the drawers out. You will never guess what we found. Lots and lots of Zoloft that expired in 1999. Very strange and eerie. He is three year...

My awe as God works in my life and in the lives of those I love. Sunday, December 2, 2007. Today when I awoke, I looked out my window and saw snow! My first snow in NY (except for the one spring break it snowed! It's the end of the night and the snow is gone, but I made some good memories today to share. Then tonight the six of us Shiloh people went to the Park Ave Tree Lighting. We joined about 500 New Yorkers sing Christmas Carols in front of the Brick Church. It was amazing! My parents have been hasseling me to update the blog, so I adapted an email my mom sent me for blog world (I've seen similar things on other blogs too) since I'm in a slump. Here goes:. 1 What is your occupation? Director of Student Organizations and Activities at ACU. 2 What color are your socks right now? 3 What are you listening to right now? Nothing but my own thoughts. Scary. 4 The last thing you ate? 5 Can you drive a stick shift? 26 When was t...
