Add all this into a stainless pot with a small handful of allspice wrapped in a cloth. Segment and juice the 6 oranges being careful to keep all seed and pith out of the pot. Let this cook down for 15 minutes and then add 4 cups of sugar and the lemon juice. The color is spectacular! And the taste is beyond words! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Apron Strings and Knitted Things. Home cooking and home crafting. Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Banana Bread Cupcakes with Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Frosting. I was going to make these the other day but was thwarted by the stomach flu. I'm glad I waited though- the idea I had for the frosting was worth the wait! I just used the basic Betty Crocker recipe for Banana Bread. To make these more like cupcakes, I use a little more banana and I add cinnamon. So they are softer and a bit more satisfying. Honey molas...

Apron Strings and Chicken Wings
Friday, October 5, 2012. I woke this morning, The dream that I had worked my way out of still hanging about my mind and body like a shroud. I was driving with my husband. The vehicle stopped working in the middle of a busy intersection at a plaza-like shopping center. I volunteered to go into Von's and get change. Why would change help in this situation? I was getting hungry, and I walked into a little Chinese place. I ordered soup and coffee. The coffee to-go cups were strange and not all that c...But n...

Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Are You a STRONG Wife? Please note, these are my thoughts on this topic. As with anything and all things, I strongly encourage you to seek out the Word and pray for final truth. We are all human and therefore, no matter how good our intentions, are prone to error. Now that is out of the way, back to the topic at hand.). She seems like a superwoman who can do it all. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Simple Woman’s Daybook – May 4, 2015. May 4, 2015 by Judy. Today is…May 4th, 2015. It’s been almost a year since my last blog post. Life became uncertain in a flash. Blogging was not on my agenda. The longer I put off posting the harder it was to make myself begin again. Outside my window…the sun is shining with a pleasant breeze gently cooling the air. It’s 74 degrees. How sweet is that! From the kitchen…all is quiet at the moment. I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Tuesday, April 1, 2014. My dad believes that you're never prepared to attend a party until a trifle has been made. He right too. They not only hit the spot for flavor, combining all of our favorite things in one, but they also look really beautiful and professional. Let's be honest, it's hard to screw up a trifle. 1 Angel Food Cake. 1 Box of blueberries. 1 Box of Strawberries. 1 Box of Raspberries. 1 Instant Jell-O Packet, Cheesecake Flavor. 2 Cups of Milk. 1 Cool Whip, 12 oz. Apronstrings and pretty things. Friday, April 12, 2013. Hard to believe. Georgia is five. I really felt it yesterday when I picked up her classmates in a van after school for an adventure in Oz. Twenty nine children disguised as the Tin Man, Fairy, Scarecrow and Lion.very few adults and of course: just one Dorothy. My girl. I know she had the best birthday ever when she sleepily murmured before bed. "I didn't eat any sweets at my party Mommy, I was too busy playing.". Wednesday, April 3, 2013. 3 Sebastia...
