Snips and Snails: A Puppy Dog Tale

Snips and Snails: A Puppy Dog Tale. Thursday, June 9, 2011. For the fourth week in a row, Kyle is in phase 0. That's still the medical evaluation stage of training. Phase 0 normally lasts 1-2 weeks, so that alone was cause for concern. Additionally, all of Kyle's littermates are getting career changed. So far, three, maybe four, are cc'd. Kermit returns to formal training this week, and Keegan is unaccounted. Those odds aren't tipping the scale in Kyle's favor at all. Thursday, May 26, 2011. Last night I...

Snips and Snails: A Puppy Dog Tale. Thursday, May 26, 2011. Rio's new favorite room in our home is the bedroom. Rio voluntarily heads up the stairs to hang out alone. It's an odd change to have such an independent puppy after needy Kyle. Last night I headed upstairs for Rio so that we could go to a friend's house. This is the sight that greeted me. Rio asleep with his rear on the dog bed and his front under the human bed.). I have one seriously weird puppy. Rio's antics constantly make me laugh. It compl...

Snips and Snails: A Puppy Dog Tale: Phase 0

http://apuppydogtale.blogspot.com/2011/05/phase-0.html

Snips and Snails: A Puppy Dog Tale. Thursday, May 19, 2011. Kyle is on GDB's phase report! Basically, seeing Kyle's name on the phase report means that he made it to campus safe and sound. Phase 0 is the medical evaluation phase which means that Kyle hasn't started formal training yet. Hopefully by next week he'll start climbing the numbers. In family news, two of Kyle's brothers are in formal training. Kearney is in phase 1 and Kendrick is in phase 7. I love watching them progress too. New Leash on Life.

http://apuppydogtale.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Snips and Snails: A Puppy Dog Tale. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. This weekend Kyle is attending Fun Day. At Guide Dog's California campus with Megan. I couldn't send him off to campus still looking like a baby puppy. I've drug my feet for over a month about switching Kyle's collar because I didn't want to admit that he has gotten so big. However, yesterday I finally bit the bullet and made the switch. This past weekend Kyle and I decided to take an impromptu road trip to visit my mom and Aunt Judy. With...

Clyde's Journal: Life as a Guide Dog puppy: A weekend friend

http://laurensgdbpups.blogspot.com/2010/10/weekend-friend.html

Saturday, October 30, 2010. Joined us this weekend, and we had a blast! Clyde finally got someone to play with, and he thoroughly enjoyed having him over. He came over on Thursday, and that evening, my family decided to go to Cornbelly's. We ended up taking both Kyle and Clyde. Kyle was a TOTAL angel. My 9-year-old brother was able to walk him around with no problem whatsoever. And Clyde actually did pretty well. Not nearly as good as Kyle, but pretty dang good. I love this picture, because you can see.

I'm going to have to replant one side when we get back anyways. B: Oh, so we need more seed? D: Yes, and I want to get top soil, too. I'll only need about ten bags.
