One of the reasons I've historically been reluctant to approach fantasy games is because most such games use worlds designed by people who have spent relatively little time with classic or medieval literature. The end result is a world where people swing swords like Charlemagne, but retain cosmological assumptions more akin to Hawking. So one way to drop such assumptions is to say "fie on thee, science!
