Aquaculture's Hydroponic Greenhouse: May 2008
http://aquaculture-hydroponics-greenhouse.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Setting up an NEF Ebb and Flow / Flood and Drain system with Pablo Beetroot 05/05/08. The second larger upright tube is an overflow drain so that the flood tray can never overspill into the grow room. Handy when theres electrics about. There are also small holes in the grooves of the tray which are for drainage too. I have added a thin layer of large 8-12mm clay pebbles to allow for better drainage. I took a jug and scooped the nutrient solution i pre-mixed from the nutrient reservoir and poured it over ...

Aquaculture's Hydroponic Greenhouse: Bananarama! 01/07/08
http://aquaculture-hydroponics-greenhouse.blogspot.com/2008/09/bannanarama-010708.html
The banana plant has reached maturity and is bearing large well formed fruit. It looks very impressive in our greenhouse standing at around two and half meters with broad fan like leaves. As you can see the bananas have begun to ripen on the plant, time to cut down. The bunch has quite a few bannanas on it all of a decent size too. Nico - Manager of Aquaculture's hydroponic greenhouse. 10 September 2008 at 23:46. Where do you get the plants/seeds/whatever? What kind of nutrient regimen do they need?

Aquaculture's Hydroponic Greenhouse: Establishing plants into the systems
http://aquaculture-hydroponics-greenhouse.blogspot.com/2009/08/establishing-plants-into-systems.html
Establishing plants into the systems. Here's an overview of the greenhouse with most of the plants just gone into the different systems. The humidifiers are going to play an important role in the early establishment stages as there will be less demand for water to be uptaken by the roots and will allow the plant to spend energy in root growth. A young plant with a healthy mass of roots will be more hardy and have a much higher yield potential. Nico - Manager of Aquaculture's hydroponic greenhouse. I use ...

http://aquaculture-hydroponics-greenhouse.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Setting up an IWS Flood and Drain system - 20/02/08. The IWS system is very easy to set up. First thing i do is set place the pots in position. The pots are made up of 3 parts, the stand, the outer pot and inner pot. The stand has small inbuilt slope that allows the pot to fully drain. The inner pot has loads of holes the the bottom, this is placed inside the outer pot. Nico - Manager of Aquaculture's hydroponic greenhouse. Setting up an 'Autopot' system - 19/02/08. NFT Cucumber Progress 16/02/08. In 11 ...

Drop us a line. Laquo; Planting our orchard. An even better bread recipe! Growing plants to attract bees. Posted March 6, 2010 by traffordeco in Bees. With the continuing problems faced by Britain’s bee populations, now is a great time to think about what you’re planting in your garden. You can have a really beautiful, productive garden that also looks after the bees – just by well-planned planting choices and avoiding using pesticides. And a less comprehensive seasonal list of plants for bees. Eat Seaso...
