Thursday, May 13, 2010. Fresh Ink. color and pencils. Here is the latest and greatest, fresh from the drawing desk. I had a couple of ideas on displaying and showing my processes of drawing skill/habits; like showing the penciled version after seeing the colored piece. Finally colored him too. Finally got around to color him as well. A pet that never dies. and has super pet strength. Transformer when identity issues. Joben, the "mascot" for a KC band. Scott_Michaels: Alright, Here we go......
http://scott-michaels.blogspot.com/2008/10/alright-here-we-go.html
Friday, October 10, 2008. Alright, Here we go. Yep, this kinda looks like a robot. I thought a mad scientist look was a great choice during Philosophy. This would be me just letting the pen do the work, that's right no pencil. And something I had no memory that I drew. So I haven't posted anything for a long time now, so here we go. Some of the sketches that I'm posted are half notes and half drawing to keep me motivated during class, yeah I know what your thinking. 169; Scott Michaels 2008".

Scott_Michaels: Blast From the Past, that's right I'm Back....
http://scott-michaels.blogspot.com/2009/03/blast-from-past-thats-right-im-back.html
Sunday, March 1, 2009. Blast From the Past, that's right I'm Back. I'm back in action, I have some free time and I decided to update my blog site, since I've been slamming my head against my desk day and night to produce this senior thesis animation. I'll have a short run down on what it is about and have some of the animations that I have done for the animation with a later post. In addition to the Octupussys that I draw, I thought a different approach to the awesome squid would to make one battle harde...

Scott_Michaels: November 2008
http://scott-michaels.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 13, 2008. Ok, so it's been awhile. But we can still be friends, right? Alright there fellow artist and Joe's, here is the latest from Scott's tiny mutant brain to your eager eyes. Here above you is the long waited continuation "yo" page that Jon Lane started and took it upon myself to forge on to add onto the story. But it did help with the process of still making the page. You got to love that my hard earned loans are contributing to the drawing that I'm adding, these were drawn during...

Scott_Michaels: Animation, Come and Get It!!!! (honesty, just unrendered test my friend)
http://scott-michaels.blogspot.com/2009/03/animation-come-and-get-it-honesty-just.html
Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Animation, Come and Get It! Honesty, just unrendered test my friend). Alright, this is simple shot inside Sparks head. This is part of the Montage scene about half way through the film. This is Sparks' Death sequence right here, it would hurt. Just some ladder climbs. His dramatic Death fall from high up. Posted by Scott McCarthy, Lecture Professor. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This goes out for Paul. Animation, Come and Get It! Honesty, just unre. The Crew of Misfits.

Scott_Michaels: March 2009
http://scott-michaels.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 23, 2009. This goes out for Paul. This is the finalized look of my guy, and this is just the one layer render, no AO or depth map render layers on him yet. Another render still that I took from the film's finalized look, the wood parts of my character is the most exciting thing to me, and yes sounded weird, but man it's looks like real objects. which that was what I was going for. Hope this is an awesome sight for you Paul. Posted by Scott McCarthy, Lecture Professor. Tuesday, March 10, 2009.

Ian Gamble: October 2008
http://iangamble.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2008. This is getting awfully hairy, its still staying relatively fun though. Friday, October 24, 2008. Some thoughts on the process:. I'm skeptical as to how much use copying straight out of a book is. Beside simply ingraining ideas of proper construction into the process of drawing. It seems to me there is a danger here: the inability to create for yourself. That by copying straight from a book, you become "stuck" doing the same drawing over and over. Who knows.
