Rachel Searles: August 2013
http://rachelsearles.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 8, 2013. I haven't been blogging much as there's a deadline looming in my near future, but this week I'm up in the Bay Area on a work trip for my day job. Sitting alone in my hotel room at night is making me stir crazy, so I thought I'd hop online for some quick updates. First and most exciting- we've sold translation rights for THE LOST PLANET in Spain! Year 1: clueless writer with a completed mess of a manuscript and no friends. Year 4: soon-to-be-published author with a two-book deal!

The Question of the Day: What's on Your Summer Reading List?
http://suzannecasamento.blogspot.com/2014/07/whats-on-your-summer-reading-list.html
Thursday, July 17, 2014. What's on Your Summer Reading List? I am reading False Idols and Other Short Stories. By my friend, Tony LaRocca. I have a confession. I have never read SCI FI. Like ever. And the stuff LaRocca writes about is spine tingling, creepy, suspenseful and totally makes me think, "What if? It's pretty awesome. And it's also fun to dive into a genre I know nothing about. What kinds of books do you usually read? What's on your summer reading list? July 17, 2014 at 3:34 PM. Against the adv...

The Question of the Day: What Messages Are We Sending?
http://suzannecasamento.blogspot.com/2014/11/what-messages-are-we-sending.html
Wednesday, November 26, 2014. What Messages Are We Sending? Tomorrow is my favorite day of the year. The day my favorite people and I get together and focus on what we're thankful for. But this year, I'm having trouble focusing on all the good when there is so much turmoil in our country. But somebody has to. Because we, as Americans, have a serious problem. Because it all comes down to fear. You might be thinking, "It's hate too." But hate is just fear wrapped in an angry box. It's easy to see what blac...

The Question of the Day: What Was Your Summer Vacation Like?
http://suzannecasamento.blogspot.com/2014/08/what-was-your-summer-vacation-like.html
Saturday, August 9, 2014. What Was Your Summer Vacation Like? I recently met up with my brother, his wife and their three little ones at my father's house in Sonoma, California. My nieces are 5, 3 1/2 and 2 years old. So, Grandpa's pool was a big hit. Once we got the little ones to bed, we enjoyed the local flavor. And by that, I mean wine. (This vineyard is down the road from Dad's.). All in all, it was a great little summer vacation packed with family and fun. Did you go on a vacation this summer?

The Question of the Day: What Are They Hiding?
http://suzannecasamento.blogspot.com/2014/08/what-are-they-hiding.html
Tuesday, August 12, 2014. What Are They Hiding? My neighbors are building a fence. A very tall fence. Under normal circumstances, that may not be so weird. But this fence is enclosing their patio and blocking their ocean view. I try not to judge, but this has me scratching my head. I would never purposely block my ocean view. I can't imagine that anyone would want to obstruct the glory of the Pacific. Which, of course, made me wonder, "What the heck are they doing in there? Cheri @ Blog This Mom! What Bo...

The Question of the Day: What's Your Wish?
http://suzannecasamento.blogspot.com/2014/08/today-h-and-i-went-to-little-tokyo-in.html
Saturday, August 23, 2014. Today, H and I went to Little Tokyo in search of the perfect udon. (It was delicious.). Along the way, we passed a Wishing Tree. Some wishes were heartfelt, like this:. And others made us giggle:. I loved the spirit of the Wishing Tree. It felt magical that in a city of millions, on a busy plaza, somewhere in Little Tokyo, people stopped to hang wishes on a tree. So, what's your wish? Little Miss Sunshine State. August 23, 2014 at 7:30 PM. August 23, 2014 at 7:44 PM. Add Finger...

The Question of the Day: When Was the Last Time It All Just Flowed?
http://suzannecasamento.blogspot.com/2014/08/when-was-last-time-it-all-just-flowed.html
Tuesday, August 19, 2014. When Was the Last Time It All Just Flowed? I went dark for a few days because I've been busy writing a TV pilot. This is strange because I write books, articles, how-to's and stuff like that. Not TV pilots. But last week, I ran into a friend who inspired me to give it a try. Once I started writing, it flowed. Words came from somewhere else. It's like I never heard or thought the words until I saw them on the screen. August 19, 2014 at 1:45 PM. Its been a while! I love that you h...
