Our rooms are located immediately upslope from the lodge, on the edge of the tree line of the natural bush. Mud brick rooms keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.Accommodation is available for individuals,couples, families and larger groups of up to twenty people. Camping is also available on the property for a minimal fee. Whatever the occasion, you will sleep soundly in this peaceful bush environment. Upper verandah for relaxing.

Ararat Lodge is now operated by Peter and Barbaras daughter, Jane McLaren. Jane is a Colo River native and her natural easy demeanour will make you feel immediately at home. Jane lives on the property with Peter and Barbara, and tries to keep them out of trouble. During your stay you will probably meet Janes boisterous and beautiful daughter, Freya, who is capable of overwhelming you with her stream-of-consciousness conversational style.
