It's been almost 2 months since we've had our little boy home with us and apart from very little sleep and a sometimes grumpy little fella we've been feeling really positive about how well he's doing. Well this week has been a little different; Sam has presented with a new hernia. It's completely unrelated to his CDH but will require further surgery next week. When's it going to let up for this beautiful little guy? We'll keep you posted.

A raspberry for Sam. Saturday, December 31, 2011. We love a slow news day. Nothing but improvement to report on this morning. Sam's very settled, taking bigger feeds and, wait for it, he's moved beds. He's no longer in the top dog position in terms of need. A raspberry for Sam. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Not any more, Sam had his first bath today! It was a really good day today. Sam fed exclusively from Katie, he is becoming increasingly aware of the world around him and it was great to have him wire free so we could bath him and have a really good look at our beautiful boy. He's just perfect. We are really getting the sense that we are close. The Fat Lady hasn't sung yet but we can certainly hear her warming up in the wings. January 4, 2012 at 5:54 PM.
