Prickly Dance in Color | Philip's Blog

Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica natural history and wildlife. Prickly Dance in Color. Felipe del Bosque Blog December 16. There is no longer any doubt about the fact that we are in the dry season. We are now receiving very little rain if any at all. It won’t be long before the dry conditions stimulate the trees into flowering. Some of the December blooms are already starting to appear. The distinctive yellow blossoms of the Ajo Tree, ( Caryocar costaricense. The female White-lipped Peccary, ( Tayassu pecari.

Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica natural history and wildlife. Felipe del Bosque Blog December 2. This week has been consistently dry and sunny with only the slightest of rain falling at night. If these conditions continue then it won’t be long before the trees start to flower. We should then start to see an increase in particularly of insect numbers. There is already the beginnings in cicada sound. By January and February the sound will be deafening. Not The Usual Suspect. The Natural History of Bosque del Cab...

Emergence: April 2010
http://littlelightshining.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 28 April 2010. I've been so busy this week. Some cloth work. some driving around the country looking at plants. and some stolen moments to hang out with friends and family. :) My design partner Megan returns home to California tomorrow. I'm going to miss her, but have a feeling she'll be back again in no time :). Nilo and I on the sea front in Puerto Jimenez. Partners: Bainbridge and (Megan) Houseberg. Nilo's first batik. This is Megan and he (apparently). So sweet! Catherine V. Bainbridge.

Underneath the Summer Tree
Underneath the Summer Tree. Thursday, December 20, 2007. Saturday, September 8, 2007. Where did the clouds go? Are they playfully hiding? Their liquid magic pervading the plains, transforming sun-crisped vegetation into flexible fruit. Perhaps they were kidnapped, lured with chanting persuasion, someone maniacally craving their salty bliss. Oh I must have found them, 'cause my vision's starting to blur and the world tastes like mist. Friday, September 7, 2007. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
