Arcade-Revival: Tempest, Where Art Thou ?
http://arcade-revival.blogspot.com/2010/03/tempest-where-art-thou.html
Classic Arcade Game and Pinball Collecting and Restoration. Sunday, March 21, 2010. Tempest, Where Art Thou? This is an "early artwork" Tempest. Only the first couple of thousand Tempests came this way and so I really was hoping to be able to keep the side art and control panel overlay intact. The cabinet wasn't any better than the insides. The rear corner was busted up and the back of the game was cracked from a fall it took while being unloaded from a semi trailer at one time. Ouch! I clamped on a stra...

Classic Arcade Game and Pinball Collecting and Restoration. Sunday, March 7, 2010. More unspeakable acts against arcade games were uncovered today in rural Idaho. Initial examinations of the machines have revealed that the deflection board was missing from the Omega Race and the main boards and 2 displays were missing from the Bally Strikes and Spares. We are hoping that some of these machines can be rehabilitated and saved. This post will be updated as information becomes available. Contact Me at :.

Arcade-Revival: Tron's Legacy.
http://arcade-revival.blogspot.com/2010/12/trons-legacy.html
Classic Arcade Game and Pinball Collecting and Restoration. Saturday, December 11, 2010. I look back at the past year and wonder where it went and what I have to show for it arcade-wise. Did I spend it wisely? Did I pad my own arcade-legacy? Do I even have one? Will I ever have one? Do you have one? Does anyone even care? And what about the legacies of those we lost? Even if it only matters to one person? Will it inspire a new generation of collectors? Will it appeal to the general populace? Or just the ...

Arcade-Revival: Travels, Tribulations, and Triumphs.
http://arcade-revival.blogspot.com/2010/10/travels-tribulations-and-triumphs.html
Classic Arcade Game and Pinball Collecting and Restoration. Saturday, October 16, 2010. Travels, Tribulations, and Triumphs. I met up with some collector friends and some old friends along the way, met an operator and checked out his warehouse, and took in some sights too. Winchester Mystery House, Disneyland, Seattle Space Needle and the Hollywood "Walk of Fame" were nice breaks in between long sessions at the wheel and showed that you can mix arcade business with pleasure. Keytars, guitars, computers. We have too much gear. Is happily out of control — I am particularly proud of Lammy. 8212; but the key stuff I use with Palette-Swap Ninja parts possible is made by Line 6. As a microphone interface, I like the TonePort UX2. For guitars, I use POD xt. Or POD xt Live. Lately it’s the latter). I love my Variax 500. Which is simply the most comfortable and sumptuous guitar I’ve ever played. For bass I either use a good ol’ Fender American Precision Bass. Inspired by Dan’s ...

The Project is Real. Has it really been more than a year since we posted anything here? It can’t be true. And yet there it is — nothing since “Major Rip-Off.” Oh man. Unfortunately, we’re still a ways off, and we’ve got to keep it all under wraps until it’s done. We will explain why when it’s finally unveiled, but we do think this will be something you will finally get to download in 2015. Let’s meet back here. Filed in Ninja Stuff. New Song: “Rage Quitter”. Download the full-length MP3 for free here. As mentioned in an earlier post. This song came from a random idea from one of our fans, Chris Repetti. He sent a note on Facebook. And it instantly made sense to us. So we did it! And we thank him. He’s a fan of TalkRadar, so that’s why the song debuted on TalkRadar #157. More details after the jump. And a POD HD500. I wound up selling a bass and buying another one, just to try to get that McCartney tone right. The Variax 700 bass.

Why we rarely take fan ideas. I politely said in our FAQ. But that one time out of 100 happened a few months ago. I got a message on Facebook from Chris Repetti. When I have more info on exactly when it’s up, we’ll post it here. Filed in Ninja Stuff. On Wednesday, May 25, 2011 · 7 Comments. Can you go back and try to maybe work with Brett on the idea for the next song? Its not a P-Swap song if it doesn’t take 6 month to finish. I can fully respect the position of not always taking fan ideas. One of t...
