Hilda Gray - Arcadia. Desert Hot Springs Homestead Pioneer. Hilda Gray – Arcadia. Typical small poultry farm (circa 1930). In 1918 Hilda Gray purchased a poultry farm in Arcadia, California in the shadows of the Santa Anita Racetrack where she lived most the rest of her life. Back then the entire neighborhood of that part of Arcadia was mostly poultry farms. Her real estate specialty was selling poultry farms and in the 1940 census she described her occupation as poultry farmer. Hilda Gray – Arcadia.
