She was also trained to take over as Alar, should Mary ever be unable to appear. The Zedora Sisters Mary became ‘Adele’ and Frances became ‘Pansy’. When her sister died, suddenly, in 1902, she did become the full time Alar, until the troupe broke up, around 1910. Pansy and Adele, or Francis Murphy and Mary Jones (nee Murphy).
