Google Chromium in BT4. This is a small guide to adding the Google browser Chromium to Back Track 4. Note: Following this guide may break your system and no one will take responsibility for it but you. OK the first thing you need to do is add the PPA's to your apt sources list. Probably a bit late to the party, but I will attempt to share things of interest to me (that are over the 140 character twitter limit) via this space. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. I have started another blog at http:/ archangelamael.shell.tor.hu/. I really like the freedom that using a wordpress blog gives me. I have plans to migrate the guides from here over to there, time will be a big factor in that. So far I have been really impressed with the services they have to offer. May 20, 2011 at 7:31 AM.

Probably a bit late to the party, but I will attempt to share things of interest to me (that are over the 140 character twitter limit) via this space. Saturday, January 26, 2013. Thoughts, and updates. Been along time since I have blogged about anything. Not that I am all to serious about it to begin with. I don't have a lot of time to devote to such things anymore. With a wife and two demanding children it's not always on the top of my do-to list. I have also been thinking about doing some more tutorial...

Probably a bit late to the party, but I will attempt to share things of interest to me (that are over the 140 character twitter limit) via this space. Saturday, July 24, 2010. Remove duplicate entries in a file W/O sorting. This is mainly for my own reference, however you may find it useful as well. Remove duplicate entries in a file without sorting. X[$0] ' FILE where FILE is the name of the file to run on. One can also use sort uniq or sort -u however this will sort the files into an order. This time w...

Tricks of the Trade: Internet by all means
http://blog.sebastien.raveau.name/2009/06/internet-by-all-means.html
Tricks of the Trade. Saturday, June 6, 2009. Internet by all means. Sorry for the delay; doing now what I should have done a long time ago: split my article in two parts, as it is the second part that really keeps me back. What do you want? Being a perfectionist I can't publish a "From Maximum Risk To Maximum Security" article until I have everything. What I describe here should be very useful to you if you can find yourself in at least one of the following situations:. To address this problem, we'll rel...
Tricks of the Trade: Playing with DNS servers... some more
http://blog.sebastien.raveau.name/2009/02/playing-with-dns-servers-some-more.html
Tricks of the Trade. Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Playing with DNS servers. some more. Killing time in the metro by listening to podcasts of past security conferences, I got the idea of using DNS caches to check IP-spoofing capability. Now, the easiest way to check if you can send packets to the Internet with a fake source IP address would be with two computers (in different ASs), but that's no fun, is it? June 29, 2010 at 10:13 AM. Thanks to Archangel Amael from the Backtrack Forums for reporting the pro...

Tricks of the Trade. Sunday, December 6, 2009. On the legal uncertainty surrounding security education in France. By Cédric Blancher of EADS (in French sorry, automated translation to English here. Basically it discusses a highly subject to interpretation French law. That criminalizes informing people about dangers in Information Technology, and has me pulling my hair out to find interesting yet completely inoffensive. Stuff to tell you on Information Security. Tricks of the Trade: April 2009
http://blog.sebastien.raveau.name/2009_04_01_archive.html
Tricks of the Trade. Friday, April 17, 2009. Just a quick tip before the big monthly blog post :-). Today I was asked by a friend if it was possible to assign different network interfaces to different programs for their Internet traffic. As bandwidth-intensive applications are often also the ones that don't really require privacy, one could imagine categorizing programs in a way so as to watch Internet TV over the Wi-Fi network while corresponding over the cable. Create a "wifi" user. Sudo -u wifi vlc.

Tricks of the Trade. Sunday, July 26, 2009. From Maximum Risk To Maximum Security. Sorry, once again I have been too busy to work on my blog, notably with a prolific Paris Air Show. Last month, but I finally found some time here over the clouds somewhere between Vilnius and Copenhagen :-). For new readers, this is the follow-up to a first part entitled " Internet By All Means.
