The Reading Diner, operated by Howard S. Fegely, was located on the West bound lane of the Philadelphia Pike route 422 in Exeter Township on the east side of Reading PA was in operation at this location from 1935 to 1950. Howard S. Fegely gets some much appreciated help peeling potatoes from Granddaughter Martha in February of 1952.

The goal of which is to save the diner, relocate it somewhere in Berks County, and open it as an historic diner museum attraction for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. Malashevitz was a New Jersey native who lived both in New England and the Middle West before settling in Berks County, PA. A professional musician, published author and photographer, he graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in English Education. He had a great passion for American culture and history and had served as President of the Berks County Museum Council. Mid Atlantic Air Museum.
