An English archer at altitude. Tuesday, 8 November 2011. A clear day at last! Today the sun came out and the mountains showed themselves for the first time since I've been here. I hiked up to the World Peace Pagoda, a Buddist Stupa, across the lake from Pokhara at 1100m and took a few pictures of Annapurna and Macchapuchre. An English archer at altitude. Saturday, 12 November 2011. The heavy rain last week was finally followed by three or four days of clear skies and sunshine, which came as a relief to many of the farmers here in Nepal. The rice harvest is now underway at top speed to get the crop off the fields before any more rain can flatten it for a second time. An English archer at altitude. Tuesday, 1 November 2011. So the bow survived the 10 hour flight and 8 hour bus journey to get here, Pokhara in Nepal, for which I am thankful. How gutting to bring it all this way and find that something had got damaged in transit!
