Barebones Hardcore: Record Review
http://bareboneshardcore.blogspot.com/2006/04/record-review.html
Stripped-down barebones hardcore music. Thursday, April 20, 2006. Nightmare City - Demo(n).06. This is not exactly my cup of tea. In fact if it was, I would probably dump its scalding hot contents onto my lap in an attempt to punish myself and then sue the band. Four tracks of crunchy tuned-down heavy metal(lic hardcore) that brings a heavy dose of gratuitous mosh parts, double bass, and lyrics you need a Dungeon Master's Guide to decipher. Please send records (CD format only) and zines for review to:.

Barebones Hardcore: Record Review: Iron Age "Constant Struggle" LP
http://bareboneshardcore.blogspot.com/2006/05/record-review-iron-age-constant.html
Stripped-down barebones hardcore music. Monday, May 15, 2006. Record Review: Iron Age "Constant Struggle" LP. Despite the fact that Iron Age hail from Texas, they have a rough and tumble late 80's NYHC feel to them. In fact, Iron Age sounds as if it could have fit right into the Profile Records stable of bands, smack dab between the likes of. Era Cro-Mags and Leeway. The influence of both bands is immediately apparent upon hearing the first note. Luckily for Iron Age, they're on Youngblood Records, and.

A blog devoted to underused, underappreciated, and underdiscussed words. Is an interesting “word.” Considered more of an utterance than an actual word to most people, it has a couple of uses, but only one that is particularly widespread. Here’s a typical instance:. 8220;Yo, dude . What’s up? How was dinner last night? It was nasty. Instead of pork, our dumplings were filled with grey pubic hair.”. If you have something uncomfortable to bring up with someone, pull a Rick Ta Life. Say your boyfriend re...

Barebones Hardcore: Interview: End to End
http://bareboneshardcore.blogspot.com/2006/04/interview-end-to-end.html
Stripped-down barebones hardcore music. Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Interview: End to End. I came across this band completely by chance around Christmas time in 1992, well after the band broken up. Even though I had never ordered the record from Foundation Records, it arrived in my mail box anyway. I pulled the 7-inch out of it's mailer, scratched my head, and basically wondered "what the fuck? Drama with other band members? Egg: More importantly, Jon was the original singer for Justice League. Live and...

A blog devoted to underused, underappreciated, and underdiscussed words. Gettin busted bustin in a busted bitch’s (or bastard’s, i suppose, being equal-opportunity and all) face. What a bust. I just wanted to give kudos to our friend, “Bust.” Hugely versatile and wonderfully short and sweet, it’s been used to express a variety of emotions and thoughts over a wide spectrum of contexts. It is so multifaceted that I don’t even know where to begin. In conclusion, “bust” is like the garlic of word...Notify me...

Barebones Hardcore: November 2005

Stripped-down barebones hardcore music. Friday, November 25, 2005. This Year's Selection for Hardcore's All-Time Turkey: Bad Brains "Rise" LP. In terms of entries, this has been the best contest yet. Thank you so much to everyone who took such an enthusiastic interest in the contest this time around. So here's my pick for "Hardcore Music's All Time Turkey". Bad Brains - "Rise" (Sony Music). Barebones Hardcore: June 2005
http://bareboneshardcore.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Stripped-down barebones hardcore music. Monday, June 27, 2005. Just wanted to let you know there won't be any BBHC updates this week. I'm having a surgical procedure to donate bone marrow for my little brother tomorrow, and I'll be recovering for the rest of the week. I'm told I will spend the week feeling like I got kicked in the back by a horse. Ouch. If I feel better within a day or two, I'll post toward the end of the week, but don't hold your breath (not that you will, of course). Links to this post.
