Oldest and Fatherless: The Terrible Secret of Tom Bombadil - Loose Connections
http://km-515.livejournal.com/1042.html
Oldest and Fatherless: The Terrible Secret of Tom Bombadil. Feb 20th, 2011 at 2:19 PM. This is another of my speculative pieces and nothing to do with Star Wars. This one is for an older trilogy.). What do we know about Tom Bombadil? He is fat and jolly and smiles all the time. He is friendly and gregarious and always ready to help travellers in distress. Except that none of that can possibly be true. And yet no hobbit has ever heard of him. If Bombadil has indeed lived in the Old Forest all this time &n...

late night stalling - M. Ross
http://respectingtrees.livejournal.com/5064.html
Late night stalling - M. Ross. Jul 12th, 2006 02:11 am. Poor pathetic victim me. *raise eyebrow* why am I allowing myself to continue these behaviors? I see them having a detrimental effect on my life and yet I continue the pattern. *sigh* I guess some things still haven't changed. I lot has changed though. I mean, I mean. I don't know what I mean. I feel like I "fit in" to the larger world. I have a place. Why am I stalling on my way towards a better life? What am I waiting for? What am I looking for?

The too-long-bring-us-up-to-date-post - Life without a lenscap
http://toddpage.livejournal.com/491388.html
Life without a lenscap. An optimistic hypocrite who never had the nerve to quit. June 19th, 2015. Sort Of Fairy Tale. Powered by Last.fm. My last significant post, excluding the one where I challenged myself to push my comfort zones, was a sort of wrap up to august of 2013. It's June of 2015 now. So, briefly:. Dealt with a lot of psycho-emotional issues and came out for the best. I took a lot of photos, of course. Some on film, some on digital. I'll figure out how getting them here is going to go. Sounds...

daves bike tour across america: THANKYOU!!!
http://leftd.blogspot.com/2009/07/thankyou.html
Daves bike tour across america. My bicycle tour across the united states. Tuesday, July 7, 2009. I just wanted to say thank you to some people who sat around and talked with me, or opened their homes up, or were willing to help out us touring cyclists along the way. It was very much appreciated and I hope that you continue to help other riders on their journeys. This is a chronological list. Savory cafe owners who gave me a free beer and a ride to the campround. Artist girl I met at the savory cafe.

Raquo; show all languages. July 04, 2016. Quick test of my new 300mm lens. I’ve recently extended my manual lens lineup and was eager to test one of new acquisitions. Below are some quick shots from Minolta MD Rokkor 300mm F4.5. I really like how this lens renders images. Even chromatic aberrations seems to blend in nicely. I look forward for some real field tests during my forthcoming vacation […]. At July 04, 2016 09:23 PM. Last updated: September 01, 2016 12:10 AM.

The calculus of caffeine consumption - Arvind Narayanans journal. The calculus of caffeine consumption. Apr 16th, 2007 04:33 am. Considering the huge role that caffeine can play in enhancing (workplace) productivity, it is worthwhile to study its effects and mechanism with the hope of maximizing this productivity-enhancing effect. Ive done the legwork for you, so sit back and read. The results might surprise you. Daily fluctuation in attention level, highly oversimplified. The green line represents n...

johto's lair: SQL gotcha of the week
http://johtopg.blogspot.com/2014/04/sql-gotcha-of-week.html
Saturday, April 26, 2014. SQL gotcha of the week. SELECT 'foo' IN ('foo' 'bar');? Be careful out there. April 26, 2014 at 6:08 PM. Yeah, there is no comma between the foo and bar. April 27, 2014 at 10:32 AM. April 26, 2014 at 7:27 PM. Can someone explain why this is a valid statement? Shouldnt the missing comma throw an error? April 26, 2014 at 7:29 PM. Its because a newline between two single-quoted literals concatenates the two. Without the newline, this would not be valid SQL. April 26, 2014 at 7:51 PM.
