a red rubber ball: Yoro: Reversed Destinies and Gourd Swag
http://aredrubberball.blogspot.com/2013/04/reversing-destiny-and-appreciating.html
Sunday, April 28, 2013. Yoro: Reversed Destinies and Gourd Swag. Hipsters, keep this on the DL but gourds had a major heyday back in the 1970s and most people have forgotten them by now, so they are just that ripe shade of vintage irony that has super potential to be uncool, but awesome. Now is your chance! The secret Mecca to pilgrim to is a sleepy town in central Japan: Yoro, Gifu prefecture. A couple of weeks ago, I too made this journey. Me and a friend (August! She's come back to Japan! In the morni...

Nostalgic, but actually a little over-scripted, don't you think? Thursday, December 15, 2011. Living in the country has its perks. Often, we get lots of fresh produce from our students. Monday, January 25, 2010. Winter is a little fun, too. Winter in Central Japan! In Nishio, it's not very exciting. It's not very cold, it's not very warm. There's no snow. But if you travel just a couple of hours north of us. there are mountains suitable for skiing . Some of us went last weekend! It was fun overall. but I have found that I am not my father's daughter. Not on snowy mountains. He loves skiing. I can't quite get the hang of it. Every fall was totally worth it. (! This is a pond! Driving wit...

Monday, August 8, 2016. August- hot sizzling days and so much summer to choose from! I'm back home again in Indiana now. I returned last Novemeber. This weekend we took it it easy a bit and enjoyed the opening of the Rio Olympics and a day on a farm! A sunflower maze just reached full bloom at an orchard to the east of Indianapolis called Tuttle Orchards. Mom and I took my brother's little girl out to take up the challenge. It was delightful. We rode the wooden tractor to all sorts of places ;). No Ifs, ...

Becky Along The Way. A Stone Soup made with recipes, thoughts and ideas. Monday, April 6, 2009. These muffins are a big hit at our house. I found them at a website called All Recipes. I try to keep a batch of them in the freezer so that I can pop them into my husbands lunch. He enjoys a sweet snack about mid-morning with a cup of coffee, why not something from home. He saves a dollar every time he finds a treat from home in his lunch box. Gavin helping himself to a muffin. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Becky Along The Way. A Stone Soup made with recipes, thoughts and ideas. Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Tea at my house.
