Life is what inspires me to write” – am. I was born in Jamaica and emigrated to Canada at the age of seven. The inspiration to express myself through poetry developed during my teenage years after reading many poems published in the Poetry Corner section of the Sunday (Toronto) Sun newspaper. Life is what inspires me to write” – am. The Colour of My Heart. Green is the colour of your eyes. White, your teeth when you smile. Pink, the colour of your lips after a passionate kiss. Olive, the colour of your skin that I miss. Blue is the colour of my heart.no longer needing resuscitation. Your voice when you said my name. I'm deafened by its silence. Soft, gentle as it caressed me. I'm bruised by its loss. Intense, heated when you. I'm blinded by its vision. Sweet as wine when you once kissed me.

Aku mempunyai kucing bernama Jastin. Dia berwarna abu-abu dan dia mempunyai wajah yang menggemaskan. Jastin adalah kucing jenis persia dengan bulu yang lebat yang semakin membuatnya ingin dipeluk. Dia juga kucing yang sangat pintar, dia sudah bisa. Ditempatnya, akibatnya sekarang aku tidak perlu membersihkan bekas ‘itunya’ di pagi hari.
