Lawyers are 3.6 times more likely to suffer depression compared to the general population.

Drug abuse can be genetic. Having parents who abuse drugs put a young person at risk of the same behaviour. It is possible for that young person to grow up without drug abuse issues. Continually chasing the high that a drug may initially give leads to people being hooked. People think drugs will relieve stress.
