Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Can you tell it's summertime? We are sure enjoying summer and the outdoors here at Eagles Nest. Here are a few pictures that I have collected this month. We picked cherries.yum! The best 'cherry picker'! See the little red gate? I found it while digging in the flower beds. It was buried in the dirt about 4 or 5 inches. I painted it red. What a treasure! We've been doing a lot of grilling and eating outside! We went hiking one Sunday and this wild flower caught my eye. I go out to ...

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Date Night and Peach Party. Mark Hershey Feeds sponsored a free evening at Harrisburg for their employees. It included supper at John Harris' historical home, and a ride on the Pride of the Susquehanna; a riverboat. So this is how Karl and I spent our Saturday evening. John Harris founded Harrisburg which is now Pennsylvania's capitol. His home is owned by the Historical Society and is open for tours or you can rent it for catering dinners. When I make peach pie or peach crisp!

http://our-eagles-nest.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Well, Kentucky has something that they have offered to the Lord. Been many saints come from Kentucky. In the early days, the pioneer days when they came in the wagons with horses, and over across the hills. And they produced some great preachers and great saints of God. It'll be well represented in glory when we get there. There was a little flooding going on while we were there. The 'cricks' were overflowing! Old abandoned house along the way. An old abandoned store. Hope you ...

Thursday, April 23, 2015. Bro Sheldon and Sis. Sharon (Justin's uncle and aunt from AZ) came to our house on Thursday morning. Justin and Kaitlyn came back from their honeymoon that afternoon. We enjoyed watching them open their wedding presents. It was pretty cool how the Amish wrapped their presents. They never give an empty container. For instance if it is brand new Tupperware they will fill it with pretzels, party mix, cookies, etc. Someone gave them money in the shape of a swan. Pretty cool! We foun...

Friday, May 30, 2014. April showers bring May flowers! Lillia has taken over the garden this year and her string bean plants are just peeping through the ground. Thanks to Grandmommy we have a bed of mint growing in our garden! There's nothing like a cold glass of mint tea! We doggy-sat one of our friend's German Shepherd dogs this past week. This little sweetheart is growing so fast! He's crawling all over the place and tries to eat anything he can reach! What's that in my trunk? And let the zipline go!
