20mm / 1:72 Sci-Fi / Near Future / Post-Apoc Conversions. Quick update on the Sci-Fi / Post-Apoc front. A new painted "Control Trooper" sporting a riot helmet. He's accompanied by a Stryker from the "World Order" policing forces. I've seen a lot of 15mm Sci-Fi figures on various blogs that have really inspired me into getting into the genre. These are some of the first attempts and I'm quite pleased how they're coming along. November 24, 2012. November 26, 2012. November 24, 2012. November 26, 2012.

1-72-scale.com: Speedpainting Zulus - some progress on the horde of figures
http://www.1-72-scale.com/2016/10/speedpainting-zulus-some-progress-on.html
Speedpainting Zulus - some progress on the horde of figures. This is definitely a quantity over quality job, and speed is of the essence, so I'm hoping to finish them all off and be ready for basing sometime at the end of the week. I'll also give a runthrough here on the technique I'm using to speedpaint the figures. It works (well, at least for me) on painting very dark / black skin tones. First step is to give a heavy basecoat of tough black-gloss enamel paint. You can then just paint up the details.

Repaints - grey early war 1/72 and 1/76. These are for an early war campaign that our wargame group has been planning for some time. There's a good mix of manufacturers here, vehicles spanning over a decade. The Panzer 38(t) at the front is a recent model, a repainted and weathered Altaya 1/72, as is the Panzer II on the left just behind it (Altaya), both donated to the cause by my mate Carlos. All very interesting stuff, right? July 06, 2014. Where did end the Attack pz38t we had? July 06, 2014. LOL) - ...

Zulus, "thousands of 'em" finished at last. Finallly finished, all in all, just over 150 figures. As mentioned in the previous post, most of the shields were homemade due to the fact that nearly all the original Esci shields had been lost over the years. The spears were also missing and were replaced with spears made from stiff plastic broom bristles. To make up the numbers, a handful of Esci Barbarians managed to slip in as Zulu"impostors". December 11, 2016. December 11, 2016. And I love your shields!

Italeri German Motorcycles and Sidecars - Update. A year later.I've finally finished the Italeri Motorbikes and sidecar combos. The big car in the background is a Hasegawa Mercedes that I rescued from a pile of old kits in a box and found a nice canvas roof from the spares box that fitted perfectly. After taking this photo, I've realised that the paint on one of the wheels has either chipped off, or I missed that bit when painting :-(. Original Post 02-05-2011* * * * * * * * * *.
