After journeying to the south of France in search of sun, and finding plenty in Provence, we decided to make the most of it and hit the beach. But not just any beach… we went to Plage de l’Estagnol, “one of the best beaches on the French Riviera” according to The Telegraph. And a favourite with none other than the Sarkozys! To keep you interested while I am gone, here’s a photo of some cute children cuddling:. Hopefully we won’t need the winter coats in France…. For now, Au Revoir! Larr; Previous post. Next post →. We made the trip twice – with a view like the one above, who wouldn’t? But the lake was not the best bit. The Gorges du Verdon was absolutely the highlight. The place really is amazing. Twenty miles from Edinburgh, it’s not somewhere I had ever been before – and I was pleasantly surprised! Rachel had heard of this place through some of her work colleagues and believed it to be worth a trip. All she knew was that it was based in Torphichen, but fortunately she also had the post code or else we would never have found it! Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Here’s Colin just loving the sea. He threw and chased his football for ages. And in his red swim shorts he looked like an extra from. Away from the beach, Ellie-Rose just loved the warm, calm waters of a nearby lake. It was a beautiful spot, disturbed only by her speed boat impression! Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Usually when we go to stay they complain that we have brought the bad weather with us. This trip we did have. Sunny days so we were able to get out a bit more than usual! Unfortunately my favourite attraction, the Castle of Mey. Was closed for the duration of our trip as the owner was up to stay. Prince Charles clearly wanted the animal farm and cafe all to himself!
