The Place Where The News Actually Makes You Smile! May 24, 2007. Hugged a Volunteer Lately? Some of the most amazing, generous, loving, passionate and fun people in the world. I'm proud to be a volunteer and even more happy to work with other volunteers. Erma Brombeck has an excellent quote about volunteers:. They are a...

A Blog for my creative pursuits. Friday, 8 August 2008. I will be away from my blog from tomorrow. I'm off to Donegal and I promise that I won't do anything sensible while I'm away. I hope you've been having a great time off? I wondered if I could ask you for something, Lorraine: I'd love to have one of your pencil holders for my usual larger Moley and wanted to offer you one of my smaller paintings on Etsy in exchange, let me know what you think? http://homesteadinginacondo.blogspot.com/2009/11/sauerkraut-illustrated.html
Homesteading in a Condo. Two humans, two rabbits, 40,000 worms, and a really big deck. Sunday, November 8, 2009. I make sauerkraut about once a month, in cabbage season (about July through December). Traditionally, kraut is only made in the cooler months- but since I ferment at room temperature, I'm not constrained by weather. I put up 15 pounds for fermenting yesterday; here's the blow-by-blow:. First, I quarter and core the cabbages. I like to quarter first because it makes coring easier. Be sure to co...

The Sunshine Journal: February 2007
http://thesunshinejournal.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
The Place Where The News Actually Makes You Smile! February 27, 2007. So, recently at church, all of the young kids were instructed to bring something that they thought was Holy to church. A lot of kids brought a picture of their family, or a cross, etc. but one little girl brought a rock. When asked why the little girl thought the rock was Holy she said she thought the rock was pretty. Well, a rose is pretty too, why did you bring a rock instead of a rose? The little girl was asked. Of adults to tears.
