A trip to Bracken Park was venture for the Bank Holiday Christmas Tuesday fixture, not too far from home so Hazel could drop me off whilst she went shopping with her daughter down from Preston. The team sheets were got very early and soon the hoppers gathered round and took the photos and wrote them down.

Beeston OBA started as the 17th Nottingham Boys' Brigade on 25th September 1909, with the Founder being Stephen Hetley Pearson. In 1913 the Pearson family along with donations from the people of Beeston raised the money to purchase the Beeston Lads Club building and 11 acres of land on Queens Rd for sports activities.

BEADS have been one of the Teesside League's top sides in recent years, while St Mary's College were a division lower last season, but the leagues have been merged to create a one-division competition for 2015/16.
