8220;The only thing stronger than fear is hope.” Catching Fire. May 9, 2014. Haiti is hard. Not because I don’t always have electricity (although thanks to Jesse and Amy and their friends, I almost always do with the small inverter they gave me! I see in the fathers standing out in the street all day because work is hard to find. I feel and see it everyday and it’s overwhelming. Generosity, encouragement, faith, and volunteers. February 28, 2013. The water filters are coming today! I am so excited to give them to two families here today. I told one of the mom’s yesterday that it was finally arriving today and she started thanking God and went to find her children to share the exciting news. They are going to have access to clean water all the time. So awesome. Thanks again to Laura Costello and Zachary Herman to donating for that! Here are some pictures from the last few weeks:.

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be. June 16, 2013. I have been here just one week shy of 11 months. 11 months…it’s crazy how fast it has gone! I am comforted by that poem about the starfish story, I am sure you have already read it, but if you haven’t you can read it here. It matters to that one. Sometimes I don’t dream big enough. October 14, 2013. Not only did we cover what we needed to get by this month, but we are about $250 from completely covering all the school fees until December! God totally blew my little dream out of the water. I never imagined we would raise this money so fast. They think of us as mom and dad and they want to come HOME! They are children that deserve a family. All of this while hundreds of children are currently in the system waiting to go home with the parents that love them. This is a disgrace.
