12 Countries, 106 Days, 1 Amazing Journey. Saturday, April 13, 2013. Day 30: 2/8 Only One Day in Hong Kong. Today I had a field lab for my Global Lens course called Health Promotion and Behavior. I wasn’t totally sure if we were still going to have this field lab since the woman teaching it was the wife of the professor who passed away, and she had left to go back to the States to have a funeral service. http://www.aroundtheworldwithlkr.blogspot.com/2013/04/day-29-27-sad-to-say-goodbye.html

12 Countries, 106 Days, 1 Amazing Journey. Saturday, April 13, 2013. Day 29: 2/7 Sad to Say Goodbye. We got everything all packed up and ready to go for the car that was going to pick us up at 9:15. Allie and I needed some more cash and needed something to eat, so we sped-walked to the ATM and stopped by this bakery which had all sorts of goodies. I ended up getting 78 Yuan back in change, but I stuffed it into my pocket because we were starting to push it on time. The man asked Allie where she was from ...

12 Countries, 106 Days, 1 Amazing Journey. Saturday, April 13, 2013. Day 23: 2/1 Sleepy Kid. I never realized how draining going into port can be. Today I slept pretty much all day besides going to class and eating some meals. Part of the reason was due to that dang seasickness that crept up on me again, but the other part was just pure exhaustion from doing so much in the past several days. I felt like such a lazy bum, but I have to admit getting some sleep made me feel so much better. Shelley I think f...

12 Countries, 106 Days, 1 Amazing Journey. Saturday, April 13, 2013. Day 28: 2/6 Biking Through the Countryside. Today Braden, Allie, Emily, and I planned to meet up with Wendy at the restaurant that we originally met her at (which worked out nicely since we were probably going to eat breakfast there again no matter what). Braden wasn’t feeling well, so Emily, Allie, and I headed to breakfast to meet up with Rachel (who we invited to join us on the bike tour). There were numerous times that I felt like I...

12 Countries, 106 Days, 1 Amazing Journey. Sunday, December 30, 2012. 10 days to go. As some of you may know, I am kind of technologically challenged. I will do my best to figure out this whole blogging thing. I'm sure other people on the boat will help me, but for now my blog may be slightly pathetic. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 10 days to go. Jones Clan: November 2013

http://scottyandkaylee.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 18, 2013. Utah - October 2013. Scott and Mark both informed me that I am the quietest person they know while I am puking. From that point on I felt a million times better though. Thank goodness. We got there around 3:30am and went straight to bed after no sleep the whole way there. The only time she slept the way there. We got to see Tyler, Kenzie, and the "Bay" Eden. She is just the cutest. Posted by Scott and Kaylee Jones. Anyways, Scott got very into it this year and picked out costum...

Thursday, April 25, 2013. Where they marked her neck to make sure they performed surgery in the right spot. No idea what is about to happen. Before she woke up after surgery. Her neck afterwords. :(. About to go home. Scotty got her a little sock monkey for doing so great. She loved it and has been snuggling it, giving it hugs and kisses, and playing with it since. Posted by Scott and Kaylee Jones. WARNING: This post will have way more pictures than necessary). It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

Friday, August 22, 2014. Reagan Jones - Birth Story. Born August 18,2014 at 12:59pm. 8 pounds 4 ounces. 20 ¾ inches long. I wish I could easily put into words just how amazing this experience was. I apologize if I add too many details, but this is a birth story after all and I am writing more for my own personal benefit than anything else. I was going to check in at 6:00am. By this point I would be 39 ½ weeks along, and there would be no major risk to our little girl. That evening, we went over to Scott&...

Thursday, March 7, 2013. I wish I had the same determination that she does. It makes me so happy when she is successful and to see how proud she gets. Can't wait to see how long (or not so long) it takes before she is walking and running all over the place. Posted by Scott and Kaylee Jones. Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Monday, February 10, 2014. She loves lotion right now and is always asking for it. Then once they found the heartbeat I told her to listen and she would hear her brother or sister. She put her hand up to her ear and said "ahhhh listen! It was a very sweet experience. I still have a hard time adjusting to the idea of Chloe being a big sister. Baby is the size of a lime now and between 2 and 2.5 inches long - according to babycenter. Cravings include: cereal, chips, and macaroni and cheese. Simple template...

Monday, June 9, 2014. I have officially made it to the third trimester! I don't know how that happened so fast. Again sorry to complain so much. I know it wasn't such a big deal to redo the hour glucose test, but I just don't want anyone else to have to deal the same thing if it can be avoided. According to babycenter.com. Baby Reagan is a whopping 2.5 pounds and is about the size of a butternut squash. I have not been craving much lately, except for ice cream. Ice cream always sounds so good lately.

Monday, October 7, 2013. Vail - Sept. 2013. Chloe loved the Hot Springs. She loves playing in the water so much. And the sunsets were beautiful. It is too bad that pictures never do it justice. Every morning Chloe would wake up and go into the other room, climb on the couch, and lean into the pack and play that Eden slept in and say hi. She was always so excited to see Eden. There were also several moose we got to see and were able to get pretty close to them. It was quite an experience. Justin, Alisa, N...

Monday, October 13, 2014. Posted by Scott and Kaylee Jones. For Grammy's birthday we went to Apple Ridge for breakfast before heading to the zoo. The weather was perfect. It was a fun day and we were all worn out by the time we headed home! Posted by Scott and Kaylee Jones. Before the wedding Friday evening, we decided to go to a farm. We got to feed the pigs, but Chloe was terrified of them. She preferred to see all of the animals from far away instead of up close and personal. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, March 10, 2014. According to babycenter, baby is the size of an avocado and is 4.5 inches long (head to bum) and 3.5 ounces. I am feeling the baby move, though it is still not very consistent. I can't wait until I can feel him/her a little more frequently. Cravings: cereal, cinnamon rolls, donuts, and strawberry ice cream. Around The World With Lena. Tuesday, July 22, 2014. I'm on another hiking trip. Not much of a surprise for those who know me. I have continued my exploration of the Balkans and I'm this time checking out Slovenia. I have earlier hiked in Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania (Transylvania). I like to hike in this part of the world. The mountains are beautiful and quite friendly. Not as tough as they can be in other parts. Since the days are not that very different on a hiking trip: You get up early, eat a big br...

I originally started this blog for my Fundamentals of Online Media class, which probably explains why my posts are far in between and when I do posts, it’s a bunch at a time (Hint: it’s because I’m being graded). We flew into Turkey and stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet. The hotel was originally a century-old neoclassic Turkish prison and it is relatively small with only 65 rooms but the service and ambiance set the mood of an exotic locale.
