My Responsibility →. March 6, 2015. This is the way that I do it; but, you can remove the beef bone and chicken, if need be. Boiling the chicken on the bone and the beef bone draws needed nutrients from the marrow. Many with porphyria believe this is beneficial in that a couple of the heme product steps occur in the marrow. Also, the OMD that I see is very much about adding the bones for everyone. The amount of potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms can be varied to suit taste. I make enough for several meals.

On a Porphyria blog? Think about it – with constant intense colon spasms during acute attacks and persistent feeling of constipation, it is bound to happen. From what I understand, most occurrences of diverticulitis happen at the exit of the colon and are generally because of straining. I was asked to put my history on this blog. As best as I can recollect:. When I was real young (less than 10? I was given penicillin; this almost killed me. It wasn’t until years later (55 years old), that a neurologist told me that he typically sees porphyria sufferers because of nerve damage from taking antibiotics. November 3, 2014. The Snickers commercials nailed it. You are not yourself when you’re hungry…especially with porphyria.
