Archive for July, 2006. July 24, 2006. 8211; Kyoto Treaty: By 2012 emission of greenhouse gases to be reduced to the level of 1990. 8211; Developed nations are the only signatory of this treaty. China, India and other developing nations were exempt from this. 8211; George Bush came into the office and reneged US involvement with Kyoto on some ludicrous grounds. According to him global warming is not related to carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. US is the biggest consumer of fossil fuels btw.
