随着大型医疗设备正电子发射断层显像/x线断层显像仪 Positron Emission Tomography /Computed Tomography, PET/CT 的应用推广，越来越多的人开始接触和接受PET/CT检测及进行肿瘤筛查，甚至有用来进行健康体检。 PET/CT的辐射剂量来源来源于放射性核素和X-CT两部分，其中，PET使用的放射性辐射绝大多数来源于氟-18 18F ，18F发射正电子，产生高能γ射线, 对人体有一定辐射，辐射剂量约为2.1 10-2mSv/MBq，一般一次检查使用222 296 MBq,即患者接受一次PET/CT检查，其中PET扫描所需核素产生的辐射剂量约为4.6 6.2 mSv,但是随着设备的更新换代，第三代PET/CT产品，使用的放射性核素剂量可以降低到185 MBq左右,受检者的辐射剂量下降到约3.8mSv。 日本医学会调查了43个机构肿瘤健康查体时X线CT带来的辐射剂量平均为10.1 7.85 mSv。 使得PET/CT一次全身检查的辐射剂量由原来的15mSv左右降低到7.5mSv左右 7.0 10.2。
