Family Vacation: Great Sand Dunes. August 3, 2015. My parents told me that this summer I could choose where we as a family would go on vacation, so I chose everywhere! We traveled way out west and this was our first stop Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado. It is so strange to look out and see sand dunes in the valley of a large mountain range.
