Tuesday, November 5, 2013. The Apes of Eden. I wanted to drop in today and show you a final painted piece that wrapped up last night. Today I'll be scanning it into photoshop and fixing anything and/or adjusting any colors if need be. This is a cover for a self published ebook entitled "The Apes of Eden" which will be out as soon as the client and I get everything together. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Little bit of Disney lovin. It was one of the most rewarding "jobs" I've done and I can't wait to see it in the nursery in Portland. I'm waiting on a good quality final picture to show but here are some behind the scenes shots of the process and a quick shot of the finished piece that was taken at like 1am. Friday, April 12, 2013. I wanted to drop by and show you an illustration that hasn't made it up on the blog yet. The final illustration ended up being a bit 3D with added elements but I don't have a picture of it :(. This illustration was for a baby shower for my niece last spring. It was on the front of the invite and we actually glued a real goose feather on the hat so it looked like it was stuck under the ribbon. It curled forward and made a really cute addition. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Dr Who Shoe Commission. I can finally show you all one of the projects I've been working on! The Recipient has had them shipped to her and she loves them. :). You kinda have to when you're dealing with a Dr. Who commission. Just Sayin'. The effects of the statewide mandated furlough days are obvious and diverse especially regarding the art department and its students of various emphasis' and majors. Teresa Benedetti, a fourth year graphic designs major describes the furlough days as a "giant rock put in place of her graduation path.". She goes on to explain that many art classes are project based and are at the least three hours long and occur two days a week.

Thursday, April 29, 2010. Graduate Student Uses Art to Protest. David Wrathall, 25, describing himself as "technically a student," is on campus from Monday through Thursday using art to protest against the "fucked up system" employed by the U.S. government along with expressing his ideals. Wrathall can best be found located sitting on the grass near the library and art department. He started with face-painting and signs saying "Love Everyone" to pursue a "more positive" approach to getting is message out.
