Art and Aioli: Silky Subtle Sexy SOUP
http://artandaioli.blogspot.com/2008/10/silky-subtle-sexy-soup.html
Monday, October 13, 2008. Silky Subtle Sexy SOUP. Soup is an interesting food. It is often associated with the poor or homeless. It is the primary food at many shelters and "soup kitchens", of course. This is due to its relatively inexpensive cost to produce and the fact that soup can be quite filling. It warms the bones. Soup is often considered peasant food or that for country folk. At least not in the western world. If you are from the east, go ahead and slurp away! It will most likely please your host.

Monday, July 5, 2010. The Colors of Summer! I just loved the look of these peaches in a crate and wanted to share them with you. The colors were so beautiful. The fruit looked so fresh. It just screamed summertime! Labels: color of summer. What a lovely picture. July 8, 2010 at 8:58 PM. So nice to know someone is still out there! I have been so remiss in blogging. Hope all is well with you. July 10, 2010 at 12:02 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Miss 'N Nick Designs. Promote Your Page Too.
Art and Aioli: January 2013
http://artandaioli.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 19, 2013. Deconstruction – A Salad with a Twist. I am going to dedicate this post to my friend Cathy in New York. She was asking about my blog and when I was going to get back to it. It is something I really loved and yet time seems to be a challenge and then days weeks and months go by and I forget about how enjoyable it is to blog; to write about food; to express myself. So here's to you Cathy! So I got to thinking. what about a deconstructed salad? 1/2 cup half and half. Miss 'N Nick...
Art and Aioli: April 2012
http://artandaioli.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 4, 2012. A few weeks ago, I had the great pleasure to attend the annual Wine Extraordinaire. Hosted by the Orange County Wine Society. This fabulous event featured over 85 small wineries. While most of the wineries were California based, there were a few from as far away as Australia! In addition to all the exciting wines to be tried, there were a variety of food samples from local restaurants, a silent auction, raffle prices, boutique shopping and a souvenir Riedel wine glass! I attende...
Art and Aioli: June 2009
http://artandaioli.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2009. My cousin's wedding reception was at the Balboa Bay Club. Just over a week ago. Now I have a particular soft spot for this place as it is not only near my beloved water and Newport Beach but it is also where I had my reception! So my husband and I took a couple photos outside for memory's sake. How do you like my yacht? Don't I wish. But I did want to share my new shoes I am just loving! Now check out these flower arrangements and the CAKE! This was to DIE for! Now bread pudding...

Burnt Toast: November 2009
http://myburnttoast.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 5, 2009. This Breakfast Should Be Illegal! In our house, we tend to use muffin mix to make pancakes because it is so much quicker. Breakfast time needs to be quick and easy when you have a toddler. This is probably the best and easiest breakfast trick in my arsenal. Open a bag of any kind of muffin mix, add milk until it is a pancake batter consistency (usually about 1/2 a cup depending on the size of the package, but I honestly don't measure it.). The Crockpot Alchemist!: Easy BBQ Chicken
http://crockpotbbq.blogspot.com/2008/03/easy-bbq-chicken.html
Saturday, March 22, 2008. Having had great success with beef and pork I decided that I would give chicken a shot even though I had some reservations about the meat drying out. As it turns out, dark meat chicken has plenty of fat and moisture and works great in the crockpot. 8 boneless/skinless Chicken thighs (about 2 lbs). 3 Tablespoons of BBQ rub of choice (store bought or homemade works great). 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar 1 Tablespoon Honey. 1 Medium Onion, chopped. Sauce, honey, brown sugar and bbq.
The Crockpot Alchemist!: Spring Chicken Stew
http://crockpotbbq.blogspot.com/2008/04/spring-chicken-stew.html
Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Well I didn't quite end up making the Brunswick stew I had envisioned in previous posts. I just couldn't pull the trigger when I saw the Okra at the grocery store. It looked like it had been out there for awhile and while I don't mind having a meal not turn out as I planned, I will not use something that I don't believe is fresh or safe to eat. 1 28 oz can of whole tomatoes. 1 11 oz can of corn. 1 lb of white chicken tenders. 40 baby carrots (not pictured). 20 small red potatoes.
The Crockpot Alchemist!: Touchdown Brisket Recipe
http://crockpotbbq.blogspot.com/2008/09/touchdown-brisket-recipe.html
Thursday, September 4, 2008. The recipe for this is quite easy though and I'm sure you can imagine how it came out. 6 lbs of beef brisket. 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoons liquid smoke. After 10 hours take out the brisket let it rest for 15 minutes before chopping it up into bite sized pieces. You could also slice it up as well, but that can get tricky because the meat will fall apart on you pretty easily. Pennies In My Pocket. I don't really have any recipes for it. Thanks! So is there ...
The Crockpot Alchemist!: Spicing Things Up
http://crockpotbbq.blogspot.com/2008/04/spicing-things-up.html
Monday, April 7, 2008. In an effort to broaden my horizons a little bit (in retrospect Crockpot. I had two customers for tonight so 1 lb was perfect . The whole lot of it got eaten so I won't be having any leftovers this time around. Spicy Pork Tenderloin with Onions and Mushrooms. 1 lb of pork tenderloin. 2 teaspoons of hot sauce. 2 tablespoons of BBQ. Rub (I use a blend I got at Penzey's. 2 tablespoons of BBQ. Sauce (I think Old Cape Cod Chipotle. 1 Large Texas sweet onion. But any will do just fine).

The Crockpot Alchemist!: Lazy Man's Hamburger Stew
http://crockpotbbq.blogspot.com/2008/08/lazy-mans-hamburger-stew.html
Monday, August 4, 2008. Lazy Man's Hamburger Stew. I got back from a brief trip to CT and while I wanted to make something, I wasn't really looking to put out a whole lot of thought and prep work and as a result, Lazy man's hamburger stew was born. 1 lb Ground Sirloin. 10 mini Yukon gold potatoes (quartered). 1 medium onion, roughly chopped. 1 can beef broth. 2 teaspoons chili powder. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin. 1/2 teaspoon celery salt. 1/2 teaspoon granulated onion. I like cha...
The Crockpot Alchemist!: Bone in vs. Bone out Pork Shoulder
http://crockpotbbq.blogspot.com/2008/11/bone-in-vs-bone-out-pork-shoulder.html
Sunday, November 9, 2008. Bone in vs. Bone out Pork Shoulder. Interesting. The pork here tends to be sold without the bone. But I find very good quality meat doesn't need much adding to in terms of flavour. November 17, 2008 at 1:06 PM. I 100% agree. My guess is that it depends on the store. You could probably ask a local butcher if he could give a shoulder with the bone in, but I don't know if it would really make a huge difference one way or the other. November 17, 2008 at 3:52 PM. Thank you for reading.
taste memory: peeling back to light: cantelope smoothie with hints of lychees and the green stuff
http://www.tastememory.com/2009/06/peeling-back-to-light-cantelope.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Peeling back to light: cantelope smoothie with hints of lychees and the green stuff. Cantaloupe has been a morning ritual lately. Can't find my lights, my white boards, filters, back splash.nothing. I had them specifically and specially packed to be easily retrieved and they are nowhere to be found at the moment. I did find my camera. Where the heck is that eyelash curler now. Biting into lychees reminds of something familiar but perhaps not. What I do is to simplify, everyday.
