Art and Soul Creative Care. Yesterday we made chalk paint with cornstarch, water, and food coloring. We started off with equal parts cornstarch and water but ended up adding more water. We put the mixture in muffin Tins then added food coloring, next time I will use the gel food coloring because the liquid stained skin. So my apologies to the moms and dads. Art and Soul Creative Care. This experiment was super fun! You take an Ivory soap bar (use ivory because of all the air in this soap) and you microwave for about 90 seconds. The microwaving causes the air inside the soap to expand making the soap foam! You can imagine how surprises they were when the soap started foaming up and grew 6 times it’s original size! Sorry for the lack of pics but we were so in the moment that I forgot to snap more! With some pretty sweet knuckle tattoos! Instead of being stuck...

Thursday, 16 October 2014. I finally found some time today to take a few pictures of some things I've been working on. I've been really into painting on wood lately so everything that I'm sharing in this post is painted on birch wood panels. This week, I tried papercutting and made a little fox. I also tried linocutting and carved the same little fox into a linoleum stamp. I used this stamp to make black fox prints on wood (seen below! Monday, 11 August 2014.
