Tuesday, February 28, 2012. The conversation matters more than the outcome. But you, when you pray, go into your inner room.". Pray in this way: Your will be done.". All things for which you pray and ask,. Believe that you have received them,. And they will be granted you.". With all prayer and petition. Pray at all times in the Spirit.". Pray without ceasing.". Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray.". Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church. The book of Job.

Life Below DingleBurn: Confessions of a Stay-at-Home-Wife
http://jemacin.blogspot.com/2013/08/confessions-of-stay-at-home-wife.html
Further up and Further in.". Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Confessions of a Stay-at-Home-Wife. Dale and I don't have kids yet (God's choice, not ours). Consequently we have had the standard amount of frustration and sadness and hoping and grieving. But a hidden side-affect of infertility has recently been coming to a boil in my heart and this morning it hit 212°. They seem to ask. "Oh, you teach watercolor? They exult, relieved. "Great! At least that's something,. And suddenly my existence is valid again....

Life Below DingleBurn: He said, "abide in the vine," not in the Apple.
http://jemacin.blogspot.com/2014/01/he-said-abide-in-vine-not-in-apple.html
Further up and Further in.". Friday, January 24, 2014. He said, "abide in the vine," not in the Apple. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me." John 15:4. Meno; a primary verb; to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy): - abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry (for) x thine own. Like in the real world? How do I walk them out in shoe leather? I have four sons!

Monday, April 7, 2014. Stand on my guard post. And station myself on the rampart;. Keep watch to see. What He will speak to me,. And how I may reply when I am reproved. In my devotional reading yesterday in Streams in the Desert. This entry was a real gem. As I read through it, I thought, "This is so good. So good." And then I got to the end and saw that it was written by Charles Spurgeon, one of my favorite writers/preachers, and said, "Oh, of course! Thine expectation shall not be cut off." ". April 7,...

The View From Innisvale: March 2011
http://debbiemacinnis.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 23, 2011. My mind has been like a tape player set on "loop." Replaying over and over and over again the scenarios of what I would say if I had the chance. To defend myself. Against false accusations. It's a battle I have fought using Scripture. Written on spiral-bound 3x5 cards and read when the loop needed to be broken. Truth to refute lies. Over and over and over again. But I was getting pretty worn. So that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW,. Filled my heart, soul and mind.

Thursday, March 1, 2012. And the music remains. Tomorrow, if God allows, an almost life-long dream will come true for me. When I was a kid, my family watched The Smothers Brothers Show on TV for as long as it ran. The summer of '68, they introduced a guy from Arkansas who so charmed the masses and the CBS execs that he was offered his own show the next year. He had an amazing voice and played the guitar as if it were part of him. I was twelve years old. How cool is that? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The View From Innisvale: October 2011

Monday, October 17, 2011. For You formed my inward parts;. You wove me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to You,. For I am fearfully and wonderfully made;. Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You,. When I was made in secret,. And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;. Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;. And in Your book were all written. The days that were ordained for me,. When as yet there was not one of them. Our Shannon, the yo...

The View From Innisvale: The hand of the Lord has done this....
http://debbiemacinnis.blogspot.com/2014/04/the-hand-of-lord-has-done-this.html
Friday, April 18, 2014. The hand of the Lord has done this. The hand of the Lord has done this. Once again, Streams in the Desert has been a blessing to me. Here is yesterday's reading. Several years ago there was found in an African mine the most magnificent diamond in the world's history. It was presented to the King of England to blaze in his crown of state. The King sent it to Amsterdam to be cut. It was put into the hands of an expert lapidary. And what do you suppose he did with it? Some day you ar...

Life Below DingleBurn: Commentary on John 15 in the style of Charles Dickens, right-honorable influencer of all current literary endeavors.

Further up and Further in.". Thursday, February 20, 2014. Commentary on John 15 in the style of Charles Dickens, right-honorable influencer of all current literary endeavors. This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you." John 15:12. This is all very well as a platitude on a plaque hung over the kitchen sink or in the bathroom to remind the children what actions they are expected to mimic during the day, but what on earth does it mean. This led me instantly to a second list...
