Ian Goldsmith – Artist. Paint, paper, pencils and alliteration. Asymp; 5 Comments. No the blog title isn’t a metaphor for how I’m feeling. Personally I’ve always felt I’m more of a glass half full type of chap, I just thought it sounded a little more creative than “Glass Jar”. Anyway here it is, a little – more or less life sized – study of a jar. Oil on panel. Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Thoughts on “Glass completely empty”. June 13, 2015 at 11:23 pm. Trigger Warning: Abuse and Depression and Anxiety and Shit. I use a butcher tray to paint. I was thinking about buying a second one, but hey, I forgot. Butcher trays are hella awesome palettes because a bit of soaking in water and the paint lifts right up in a grody, interesting skin. Yesterday I found out that he died. Series three beetles. | Ian Goldsmith - Artist
https://iangoldsmith.wordpress.com/2015/06/12/series-three-beetles
Ian Goldsmith – Artist. Paint, paper, pencils and alliteration. Asymp; 5 Comments. We paint who we are. Consistency doesn’t have to mean painting the same thing multiple times. Some artists have done this and have made quite a name for themselves by doing so, but to me consistency means showing a flow of ideas. It means developing a theme, finding what methods and marks make you happy and incorporating them regularly in your work. They become your style. NO BEETLES WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS ART.
