Art by Janice Muir. Oil and Pastel paintings. Saturday, August 29, 2009. As you can see it has been awhile since I have posted. Well, I have been busy with a new medium called Golden Open Acrylics. I am particularly enjoying them for plein air painting. They dry slower that traditional acrylics. More like oil paints with easier clean-up, just water. They feel like there is an abundance of breathing space. The image for this painting was created in my head. Jemez Snow 12"x24" Gallery Wrap Canvas. Winter in the southwest is like no other place in the country. Even though it is winter we have sunny days that are crisp and clear. The lower rays of the sun change the color of the snow.
