Friday, November 21, 2014. Here is a fun holiday project you can make for yourself or as a gift. I package of Creative Paperclay. Fabritac or other basic glue. Here are the small nutcrackers fresh out of the package. The first step is to rip off any ornamentation that is not desired, especially the hair. Making of the core with plasticine | Nike Art Studio
https://nikeartstudio.wordpress.com/2014/01/24/making-of-the-core-with-plastecine
Original doll making work in progress. Creating a ball jointed doll. Making of the core with plasticine. Busy making the ball jointed doll core out of plasticine. This are some pictures of the body parts of my ball jointed doll.I’m making the core with plasticine instead of using styrofoam on the inside (what a lot of doll artists working with La doll clay do successfully). The idea behind the making of an inner core for a ball jointed doll is explained here. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Next post →.

Original doll making work in progress. Creating a ball jointed doll. La doll,Premier and Premix. La Doll, Premier and Premix-What kind of clays are that? In my last post. I wrote about the clay I’m using for my ball jointed doll project, called La doll. I just wanted to mention that I also have other paperclay types at home. I also purchased Premix and Premier,to be able to compare them to La doll and to know which clay I prefer. They where both slightly more expensive than La doll. Enter your comment here.

Griffinwyse: September 2015
http://griffinwyse.blogspot.com/2015_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 21, 2015. I had the opening table at the show. This year my daughters were working at my gallery and could not come with me so this is why I am not actually in any photos. This lab rat by Pam Pontious at Pamda Bears was priceless. I love the steampunk flair and he was just the right amount of creepy and cute. Keeping in the steampunk theme, Becky Federico's framed cats caught my eye. If you have seen much of my work you know how much I love the Day of the Dead art. Irene Lawson had ...

Griffinwyse: April 2013
http://griffinwyse.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 5, 2013. Nothing is impossible when you work for the circus! Based on these ideas, the most recent Griffinwyse growth has been the development of the two circuses; The Carpathian Winter and Midsummer Circuses. The Winter Circus is a vision of black, white, grey and red. It is a more mysterious, dark web of magic and illusion and its patrons and performers reflect that feel. As illusions. Feasting on patrons is not allowed, however, as these two can attest. I believe it is opposites that I l...

They're a community artmaking place, and open their doors to anyone who wants to come make art. Their fundraiser is in conjunction with their Albuquirky House Tour. Where people can tour several local art houses and folk art collections. The tour was recently featured on a local TV station. And includes the famous tile house. She was great fun to make, and I can't wait to start another house doll!

AllegroMelody: Florence: new custom Sasha on Etsy!
http://allegromelody.blogspot.com/2012/04/florence-new-custom-sasha-on-etsy.html
Monday, April 16, 2012. Florence: new custom Sasha on Etsy! It's been some time since I've been in the doll world, but I wanted to let everyone know that I have a new customized Sasha doll available on Etsy! Formerly a blonde, she's had her hair dyed shades of red and auburn and her eyes delicately painted green. She wears a cotton dress printed with tiny brown flowers. For comparison, here's a photo of Florence together with an original blonde Sasha, factory painted with templates. I'm on Team Docka!
