Monday, July 29. Spencer received a smile award this morning at assembly. It was so well timed for him - and also deserved. On Friday, while waiting for the boys to rush them off to basketball, Spencer's teacher excitedly grabbed me. She had just retested Spencer since the holidays and his reading was exceptional. Friday, May 31. This is a wordy one so skip it if you'd like. But I felt they were behind educationally. They were initially in separate grades to give them the opportunity to develop as individuals. This was great. I would pop in and see the teachers, both independently said They're doing fine. I would say Really? And they would give me a weird look and say - Yes! Sunday, October 5. Today I managed to get my stuff together and arrange for everyone to be somewhere so I could go out. As a sidebar, I have to say I find it really frustrating that if I want to do anything, it is my responsibility to ensure everyone else is sorted. Monday, February 24. I've gotta say, I find making lunches for school a real drag! First they seem to need lunch EVERY day, and then on top of that they want variety! No its not really that bad, I just struggle to come up with food that fits our needs - healthy, allergy friendly and no rubbish. Their requirement is also tasty whereas mine is budget friendly. Tuesday, September 30. I am having a bit of an issue at the moment, grappling with the idea of feminism and equality. I know big thoughts. I am lucky to have choices and I am happy with the choices I have made. I have no desire to be the Prime Minister. I have enough trouble running the house, let alone a country. Wednesday, October 1. The boys are obsessed with making potions, so I incorporated this into a drink of milk, with flavours and also food colouring which they loved doing in little plastic milk bottles. Sunday, March 1. 10 is a good motivator. Its the first of March, the first day of Autumn and with all these firsts it is the perfect time to make some changes. We have all been in a bit of a rut and after 4 weeks back at school, I decided that if I wanted things to be different I had to feel and act differently about them. And here it is. The twins are now in grade 3 and have started getting homework. They have 2 weeks to do it and already in the first cycle, they forgot about it and left it too long...

Monday, August 19. Well only just enough fabric! This has the capped sleeve of version D and the collar (sans frill) of version A. It is closed with a skirt hook rather than trying to find the right button. This is the skirt - finished also today. It was mostly done last weekend, before I felt sick and it was simply a matter of finishing it off. I love the colours in this. I was happy to finish off another 2 projects.
