Dr Bob's Food Diary. Time to stop complaining and write about things I enjoy . Monday, 23 April 2012. I wish I'd taken pictures . Cooked a great meal on New Year's Eve:. White onion soup with a parmesan crisp. CArpaccio of beef with truffle oil. Smoked salmon mousse with smoked salmon, caviar, frozen cucumber and pea shoots. Braised partridge, root vegetables, broccoli. Cheese (camenbert, wensleydale, manchego with home-made membrillo). Steamed lemon sponge with saffron and honey ice cream.

Roast quail, parsnip puree, bok choi, parsnip crisps, quail jus. Orange and lemon pudding. Tuesday, 13 October 2015. Cycled first thing on Sunday and then more time in the garden, digging out the root of an ancient mahonia (we cut it down on Saturday).
