Exhibitions of Paintings

Our annual exhibition 2016, which will be our Centenary, will be held at the Geest Gallery, Ayscoughfee Hall, Spalding, PE11 2RA, from Sunday 1st May to sunday 29th May. Wednesday to Sunday, 10.30am to 4pm. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Members' own exhibitions can now be listed on the Exhibitions Diary. Page Contact Katie to be added. Art Tuition

Monthly demonstrations by visiting artists are held at Pinchbeck Village Hall (next to the Bull Inn), Knight Street on the first Tuesday of every month. The Demonstrations start at 7.30pm and finish at approximately 9.30pm There is a friendly informal atmosphere for art lovers to enjoy and perhaps pick up some tips. Membership of Spalding Arts &amp Crafts

Membership of the Society is open to anyone interested in the Visual Arts and the Crafts, and members are welcome to display their original works at all of the Society exhibitions. Both Members and Non-members alike are welcomed at any of the events, demonstrations, outings and meetings arranged by the Society and may bring guests. June 7th 2016 Peter Barker - Oils. Peter Barker is a leading professional painter of landscapes and wildlife, mostly in oils, but also in pastel, watercolour and acrylic. Spalding Arts and Crafts Society is proud to be one of the oldest established societies for visual arts and craftwork in the country. It was founded in 1916 by surgeons at the Johnson Hospital in Spalding for recovering soldiers wounded in the First World War. Spalding Town Council sponsored their first exhibition in 1918.
