We've decided to stand united and not fall for it, which is terribly hard to do with a kid who survived only via feeding tube for 3.5 years. For so long, we were begging him to eat. Four Square No. 266. Sunday, August 04, 2013. First day, take two. Tomorrow is El Presidente's first day of school for the year. He will be a first grader. Based on his age, he could have been a second grader. We have a neighbor whose second grader is you get than El Pres. That was by our choice. Four Square No. 266. Thursday, July 28, 2011. Its like living with Wile E. Coyote. I'm not sure if it's learned or genetic. Maybe it is the Y chromosome. But El Presidente's sense of humor is spectacular. As I left for work this morning, he playfully chased after me, wanting to bite me. I closed the front door and he "crashed" into it, like a coyote crashing into a mountain. His face was squished against the window. I suspect that after I left he started looking through his ACME catalog. Feed Me Drink Me.

A day that was suppose to be the opposite of the 11 work days that preceded Thanksgiving. I, unfortunately, failed. And I couldn't shake it the rest of the day.
