http://artilike.blogspot.com/2011/08/daniel-ridgway-knight-1839-1924.html
A little collection of artists' work that I like. Click on the image to see a larger view. August 19, 2011. Daniel Ridgway Knight (1839 - 1924). March 15, 1839 - March 9, 1924). I took notice of this artist. What struck me the most about Knight is his soft beautiful lighting. It doesn't look staged and it feels so real to me. And even though I am not a nineteenth century peasant woman, I somehow totally identify with the woman in the painting. The Shepherdess of Rolleboise. See more at ArtRenewal.org.
