Your ocular prosthesis is an important investment in your health and appearance. You will be fully instructed in its care, with hands on teaching for care and handling of your prosthesis. You will learn how to remove, clean, and insert your artificial eye, and will also receive a copy of “Recommended Care Guidelines for Your Artificial Eye,” written by Danz Inc for patient education. AFTER: Scleral shell over phthisical eye. BEFORE: Post op enucleation or evisceration are both surgeries that remove an eye.
