A weblog that explores the investigative journey an artist makes on the road to producing an artwork. Sunday, February 12, 2006. A dialogue with the image. At a cetrain point during the drawing component of the making of an image on an etching plate, the image seems to start asserting itself. It begins to take itself so seriously that an artist may begin to believe that they are having a dialogue with it. Posted by Ronald McBurnie. Wednesday, February 08, 2006. Working on the plate. The Artist's Studio
A weblog that explores the investigative journey an artist makes on the road to producing an artwork. Sunday, October 29, 2006. The Lines Are Drawn. Its sometimes difficult to determine when an etching is complete. In our minds eye we have a picture of what we think it should look like and move toward that picture during production. Sometimes though, unexpected ideas, mistakes or lucky accidents occur which may dramatically change the appearance of a work. Posted by Ronald McBurnie. Working on the plate.
Life is joy...
To love life is to experience life as creation. I love to see every aspect of life as creative, I spent many years being challenged by 4 sons, learning about art making and finding myself as a not-so-normal human being. Life, I learnt, is hectic, hairy, fun and scarybut mostly life is joy. Art is joy. I revel in this. To me art-making and life-making is all the same as a creative exercise. Adèle currently lives and works in Greyton where she runs a successful studio as an artist and oft times as a teacher.
