TROMBONIST PERFORMER COMPOSER CONDUCTOR. Andras has worked with some of the leading amateur bands in Denmark and Faroe Islands. 2009-2010 he started working with concord brass band as a band trainer and conducting most of their concert. Concord won the danish championship for brass band 2009 and 2010. After Concord brass band Andras was appointed band trainer in Lyngby Taarbæk Brass Band 2011-2012. TROMBONIST PERFORMER COMPOSER CONDUCTOR. Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen has long been established as Denmark’s leading ensemble for New Music. Andras has played with Athelas on and off since 2000, and in 2008 he became a regular member of the ensemble. Today Andras is a part of Athelas’ program commitee, and works together with the artistic directors in making programs for the concerts. You can read a lot more about athelas. TROMBONIST PERFORMER COMPOSER CONDUCTOR. Andras Olsen started playing the trombone at the age of 13. Andras has studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus (1997-2000), Royal Academy of music in London (2000-2002) and at the Royal Academy of music in Copenhagen. Andras has worked with a lot of composers and has had many pieces written especially for him. One of the biggest collaboration is with the Faroese composers Tróndur B. Hansen and Atli K. Petersen. TROMBONIST PERFORMER COMPOSER CONDUCTOR. Andras’ main instruments are trombone and barytone. Andras works in the wind band of the Royal Danish Lifeguard. He is also member of Scenatet and Athelas Sinfonietta. He is recognized for his great interest and passion in contemporary music. TROMBONIST PERFORMER COMPOSER CONDUCTOR. Andras has written and arranged music since 2004. The inspiration to Andras’ music comes from his close collaboration with ensembles and musicians. He likes to experience with possibilities of the instrument and the musicians, which sometimes leads to acting and using the space of the stage or concert hall. 2015 Hann gongur í nátt.
