Tuesday, 7 January 2014. So the floor of the lab was quite an interesting challenge, to make something unique, interesting and being visually striking. I spent a long time planning just how to make best use textures. My original design was a very simple colour map of the entire floor. As soon as I finished it, I realised I could be much more efficient with this. I cut the texture into a quarter section. Monday, 14 July 2014. So in an effort to post more and write about what I'm doing, I've started a new environment. A small interior scene with a nice mix of hard surface and some ornate sculpting opportunities. I will post here updates as much as possible, and I will also post on Poly Count every Friday. I will also continue my chain sword, the majority of the high poly is now up to a decent standard, I have the eagle pommel left to sculpt and then I can start work on the low poly!

Monday, 23 December 2013. So I've fixed my computer issues, turns out my mother board decided it had enough, shame. But I'm back and needing to work harder and faster. I have decided it's time to crunch, there is nothing else to be done about it, I've handed in my notice at work so I can work on this project more! Monday, 6 January 2014. So I've had a bit for a break over the holidays and sorted all the issues I've come across regretted some mistakes I've made early, fail hard, fail early! Now I'm ready to crunch these assets out! So a little update for now - material creation is going well - I'll post an update about them in the coming days.
