Jen's Art Journal: Thumbnail sized update
http://artofjen.blogspot.com/2010/10/thumbnail-sized-update.html
Friday, October 29, 2010. 47 days left for this semester.crazy! Not too much to add from my previous post. I'm holding back on posting any animation assignments until the end of Nov. or so for a couple personal reasons, but they'll pop up eventually. Anyways, just to keep things slightly alive 'round here, have some thumbnails since that's about all I have time for nowadays when it comes to drawing (I still have lifedrawing of course, but outside of that.):. Thats such a cute page :D Good ones! A 2010 Ch...
Jen's Art Journal: November 2010
http://artofjen.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 25, 2010. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Very happy the break is here and I'm currently back home for a few days! The above is a collection of work, both done at school and a couple assignments I did during my animation internship at Pixar. And this test I wasn't able to finish in time to add to my reel that I showed at CTN, but since it's now in the can, I'm sharing it now. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Jen's Art Journal: An update of the traditional kind...
http://artofjen.blogspot.com/2010/10/update-of-traditional-kind.html
Saturday, October 9, 2010. An update of the traditional kind. Wow, been a little while since I updated. The semester is well under way and I'm juggling the usual work load. I've been too busy to even venture over to the zoo since classes started. It's hard to believe it's already October and the big deadline coming up fast is December- -since after that, I'm done with school. So I have a lot to wrap up before then! Sketchy Observations: THE CROODS!
http://sketchyobservations.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-croods.html
Sunday, March 24, 2013. With DreamWorks’ “The Croods” opening this weekend, I thought I’d revive the ol’ blog with writing about my experiences on the show. 8220;The Croods” is my first feature film after graduating from CalArts. I came onboard in January 2011 and after a few weeks of training, I was animating away on a feature film! 8220;The Croods.”. This is a collage from a variety of shots I worked on, some ideas stayed, other changed as the shot progressed. March 25, 2013 at 12:39 AM. Thanks for sha...

Sketchy Observations: May 2013
http://sketchyobservations.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 4, 2013. Today, I went out and visited The Huntington Gardens. I brought an itty-bitty sketchbook along and did a few drawings(they're not even the size of ones hand). One is of a fascinating bonsai tree and then another of a random tree that was 100 times larger. Very relaxing and beautiful spot. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sketchy Observations: People Drawing: Disneyland Edition
http://sketchyobservations.blogspot.com/2014/05/people-drawing-disneyland-edition.html
Sunday, May 25, 2014. People Drawing: Disneyland Edition. Went drawing at Disneyland. First real drawing trip of any kind in a few months. Very inspiring trip. Anyways, here's to more updates featuring some of the finest from the Happiest Place on Earth. First page featuring an interesting choice of selfie, a very sunburnt pin-collector, and a napping woman who was woken up by a marching band 5 minutes after I drew this. She wasn't thrilled to say the least. haha. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sketchy Observations: Croods DVD!
http://sketchyobservations.blogspot.com/2013/10/croods-dvd.html
Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Today is the release day for the DVD for “The Croods! Some was more loosely followed (more for an impression), others I stayed truer too. It really came down to what the shot called for. This is just a small percentage of the reference I collected over the course of production. So enjoy and go out and buy the DVD- - everyone’s favorite Croodaceous family is now available on Amazon, iTunes, and even the local grocery stores! October 1, 2013 at 11:10 PM. DigiBen: Crawling along
http://burnamillionpages.blogspot.com/2010/01/crawling-along.html
Friday, January 15, 2010. Bit by bit he's getting there (excuse excuse excuse). Seeing Gizmo in the kitchen, looking forlornly up at the spot the cake will occupy makes me smile. Yes he's currently floating; I've been doing test rigs but have not yet completed one I feel like posting a pose from. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Miles Land Of Horror. DigiBen: A model is never done
http://burnamillionpages.blogspot.com/2009/11/model-is-never-done.html
Saturday, November 21, 2009. A model is never done. A few comments/critiques from Tisha. Back legs not looking legish. Face and nose more work. Toes good, good definition. Forehead add brow buldge? Squareish body; back probably ok but tummy and sides needing help. Snout too square,. Build up chin more. Bolt ears; actually convex things, with fat part toward center and skinny flap towards edge. DigiBen: Gizmo visits the Kitchen for the first time
http://burnamillionpages.blogspot.com/2010/01/gizmo-visits-kitchen-for-first-time.html
Wednesday, January 6, 2010. Gizmo visits the Kitchen for the first time. Here is the Kitchen with Gizmo standing at the fridge. I remembered that checking the scale of the puppy at this point may be easier than after I finish up all the rigging. On the other hand, the kitchen is NOT very complex compared to Gizmo, so maybe I should keep the rigging I've started and re scale the kitchen later if need be. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, January 9, 2011. I decided to start up a new post-CalArts blog. From here on out, all updates will happen over there:. Http:/ sketchyobservations.blogspot.com/. Mainly centered on keeping my sketchbook busy and working to improve how I draw. So zoo trips, my usual people-watching, and the occasional landscape study type posts.
