From the palace we went to the village square and were handed our traditional outfits. We wen...

Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. Sea What I See. Pics and stories from Rachel's trip around the World! April 25, 2013. We docked in Casablanca. Unlike what you’re probably thinking, it’s actually a big, dirty, commercial city. Nothing like the romantic notions the name might bring to mind. We headed straight to the train station to venture to more exotic parts of Morocco. That’s okay, Marrakech is a big place. The riad was beyond amazing. So beautiful. There were a total of 7 room...And S...

We said our good-byes (a whole blog on the last day on the ship and all that entails will be forthcoming) and got in a taxi with our LUGGAGE. Let me tell you, having enough stuff for 4 months then adding 12 countries worth of souvenirs, creates a LOT of luggage to cart around. For lunch we got our first tapas in the cafe/bar downstairs. The morning started with fresh squeezed orange juice (a very popular staple in Morocco), chocolate filled croissants, burrito looking thingys that had nothing in the middle, eggs, bread, coffee, fruit and, of course mint tea. We went to the Majorelle Gardens. Yves St. Laurent bought the gardens from the original owner and his partner still lives there. The plants...The best ...
